DRAFT NATIONAL BIODIVERSITY OFFSET POLICY
MacRobert wishes to draw your attention to the following important notice
The Minister of Environmental Affairs has given notice of her intention to publish the National Biodiversity Offset Policy in terms of the NEMA. The aim of the Policy is to ensure that significant residual impacts of development are remedied as required by the NEMA. In terms of the Policy, it should be taken into consideration with every development application that still has a significant residual impact after the mitigation sequence has been followed in an environmental impact assessment process. Members of the public are invited to submit written comments within 60 days after the publication of this notice (i.e. on or before 30 May 2017).
